11:53 pm – Sunday
And so the end of the the blessed month of Ramadan is here. Eid ul fitr is tomorrow, I myself saw the moon from outside our front gate.
This time is always celebrated half heartedly. We are sad by Ramadan’s leaving and joyous of the eid coming. And after that, it’s back to normal life.
This ramadan, a lot of things happened. The first week was spent at my grandparents, where my uncle was staying. The rest, I tried to find the balance between Deen and Dunya (spoiler; I couldn’t).
But, despite the fact I couldn’t find that balance, I still found a way to maintain it. And I think I would be able to find that in the upcoming days.
Now, how today went.
Because it was sunday, I took it easy. Me, my couisn and my brother played COD zombies right after fajr. Then, my brother first went to sleep at around eight and my cosuin at around 8:30. Oh, and we managed to complete all four rituals. Turns out, we have to do another one still but we did complete them all. Something we’ve been trying to do since a week or maybe more.
After Iftari, my siblings put on news to see if the moon had been sighted. And then we found out it was! (yay). We went outside where it was visible, a thin crescent smiling down at us. And as per tradition, we went to a conveneince store that is quite close to us. We bough junk food in the budget of thousand rupees (best). Now, I’m done after taking an all body shower and waiting for my cousin to come so she could put on my mehndi 🙂
Eid Mubarak everyone <3
