11:34 pm – Sunday
And so the first day of Ramzan 2025 comes to an end.
Ramzan is all about re-connecting with Allah and having the best routine. But today was just the first day. It takes some time for me to tap into that routine.
I slept last night at around 12 and woke up for sehri at 3:30 – 4:00 am. After making myself fried egg and toast, I drank a full glass of lassi (don’t know the English name). Lassi is like a mixture of yogurt, water, milk and sugar but my mother had bought packet version from the market so that was nice. I drank when the azan was being called so I couldn’t eat yogurt afterwards.
Then, I prayed fajr and had planned to recite the Quran but didn’t really do that. I don’t remember if I slept after that or not, but I remember listening to a lecture by Nouman Ali Khan and afterwards sleeping at around ten.
Now – things became difficult after that.
I woke up with my head aching. Tried to some work, sat down with my aunt a bit and tried to iron clothes but I couldn’t make myself do that. I went to bed.
Woke up, and the ache was worser than before. I moved to my room from the living room (my brothers were fighting over the PS4) and slept again.
Woke up to pray at 4:15 and after praying both of my prayers, slept all the way till iftari. I’m fine now but I have no idea what that was all about. This is the first time something like this had happened but I’ve heard it happening, for instance, to my father.
I have recited one para of Quran now and had recited the translated version as well. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better inshallah.
